Project Gotham Racing 4 fans will be stoked to hear that four new game modes will be added to the game today, as part of an update available on Xbox Live. The game modes are all multiplayer tournament related, look after the jump to see what’s coming.

• Daily Tournaments — A Daily Tournament will be held every day Monday through Friday, beginning and ending in a single day. Up to 640 players (five groups of 128) can compete.

• Super Saturdays — As the name suggests, these tournaments will be run Saturdays only, but as many as 2,560 (five groups of 512) can qualify for these ones.

• Simulation Sundays — Again, Sundays only for this mode. A mere 64 players can compete, but they’ve got to be good as this tournament requires that players us the in-car-view and manual gear.

• Global Cup — Rather than beginning and ending in one day like the others, a Global Cup takes place over the span of two weeks, with 512 racers (the top 20 from each nation, plus the top 32 from the “rest of the world”) going for worldwide glory.

To qualify for these tournaments you will need run Solo Hot Lap races and then check the Tournament leaderboards to see if you have placed. Sounds pretty immersive.
