Rare have either been hitting the eggnog a bit early or they are giving us a sneaky clue on their Viva Piñata and Banjo Kazooie themed Christmas card. The clue is on the innocuous stocking marked KI3. Could this mean that a new Killer Instinct game is on the way? Unfortunately when quizzed about it Rare says not:
“Purely out of contractual obligation, no, we’re not working on KI3.”
Oh well, looks like it’s back to getting our asses handed to us in Mortal Kombat DS.

Microsoft Australia has dated and priced the Xbox 360 Arcade and the Xbox 360 Pro Bundle. The Pro Bundle will feature a console with 20GB hard drive, media remote, wireless controller, Forza Motorsport 2 and Viva Pinata while the Arcade console will have 5 Xbox Live Arcade games, wireless controller and a 256MB memory card instead of a hard disk. The games on the Arcade disc are Pac-Man Championship Edition, Uno, Luxor, Boom Boom Rocket and Feeding Frenzy. The Pro bundle will be released on November 1st for $579 and the Arcade console on November 15th for $399.

Rare told an audience at Comic-Con that their kid-friendly Xbox 360 title Viva Piñata is coming to the Nintendo DS. With Xbox 360 owners generally being the type of folk who like both kinds of games - first-person and third-person shooters - we’re certain that Viva Piñata will be a hit this time around with the far more suitable audience of DS owners.
