Ubisoft has penned a deal with TransGaming, which will lead to their games being released for the Macintosh using TransGaming’s Cider Portability Engine. The games will be available at retail and via TransGaming’s GameTree portal.
The first games scheduled for release are CSI: Hard Evidence and the Petz series, with “additional key titles” planned for later this year including some simultaneous Macintosh / PC releases.
My Grand Theft Auto IV comedown just got a lot easier thanks to a relief package from Ubisoft that turned up today, containing Haze and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Look for reviews in the coming weeks.

Ubisoft will be running a Private Beta of Tom Clancy’s EndWar for three weeks in June and July. If you’ve got an Xbox 360, a Live Gold account, broadband, and 3GB of space left on your hard drive, head over to the signup page, verify your e-mail address, answer a whole bunch of questions, and cross your fingers. Oh, and it’s open to people outside the US - bravo, Ubisoft!

Ubisoft and EMI today announced that Korn’s new song “Haze”, inspired by the upcoming game of the same name, is now available from online music retailers. The song is also available on the enhanced CD version of Korn’s untitled album, now available in Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Ubisoft’s massively hyped Assassin’s Creed is an interesting one - an ambitious mix of history and science-fiction, with action and stealth gameplay. Ubisoft and Jade Raymond, producer of the game, certainly had no trouble drumming up a massive buzz for the game - but did the game come through with the goods?
Looks as though PlayStation 3 owners will actually get an early taste of the PlayStation 3 exclusive FPS from Ubisoft, Haze. The demo, set to hit the PlayStation Network in early May, will feature a small sample of the single-player campaign as well as online, four-player co-op gameplay. Can anyone give us a WOOT? Ubisoft has announced a distribution agreement with Tecmo that will see the Nintendo DS hit Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword released in Australia and New Zealand. Expect to see it on shelves some time in June this year.
