Bad news for those waiting it out for Super Smash Bros Brawl in the US, as it has been pushed back a month from its past release date. The game is now slated for a March 9 release due to it needing more tweaks. Here is Nintendo America’s statement regarding the delay:
“The launch date for Super Smash Bros. Brawl has shifted a few weeks to March 9. The development is taking slightly longer than expected. As we’re sure you have seen on the Dojo site (www.SmashBros.com), the game contains an unprecedented number of characters, options and experiences. Be sure to keep an eye on the Dojo site for the latest information.”
Those lucky Japanese are on track for a January 29th release, while the UK still have no idea when they will be getting theirs.

Speculation concerning the box art for Super Smash Bros Brawl was today confirmed by a Nintendo official press release. The box art that was seen shortly on Amazon and other retailers sites last month is identical to the one released by Nintendo. Good to know that we all have a clear image of what to look for come February.

Originally planned for release in North America on December 3, the Smash Bros. Dojo now lists the release date as TBD.

Metal Gear Solid fans will be rapt to hear that David Hayter (the English voice of Solid Snake) has already recorded Solid Snake’s sound bytes for Super Smash Bros: Brawl. The discovery was made when Mr Hayter responded to doting fans questions on a video he released on YouTube some months ago.
The revealing Q&A went as follows:
Hello David Hayter! I have to say that you are one of the greatest voice actors ever, and you do a great job as snake. I was wondering, are you going to voice Snake in Super smash bros. brawl?
Archduke Chocula,
I am indeed voicing Snake in “Smash Bros.” I’ve recorded it already, and I believe that fans of both games are going to be extremely happy. It’s very cool. That’s all I can say.
