A source close to Blue Castle Games has told Eurogamer that the Canadian developers are currently working on Dead Rising 2.
“Everyone’s really excited; the team has obviously seen the rumours and it’s been hard to keep quiet, but they can’t wait to show off the game.”
Capcom Europe refused to comment on the rumor.

G4’s X Play recently aired some footage showing off Rock Band 2, and a member of the Score Hero forums armed with a TiVo spotted something of interest - a song selection menu with what could be nine of the tracks in the set list.

A BemaniStyle forumite with an incredible attention to detail has noticed a couple of as-yet-unannounced Rock Band tracks appear in an advertisement for the MTV2 track pack currently airing on MTV.
The screenshots look legitimate to me - here are the tracks:
- Machine Head - “Aesthetics of Hate”
- Avenged Sevenfold - “Afterlife”
- Nirvana - “Breed”
- Nine Inch Nails - “Burn”

All aboard the rumor train! A list of achievements supposedly from the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV has been doing the rounds, and are now available here for your perusal. They certainly look legit to me - check the full list of achievements after the jump and let us know if you agree.

An IGN blogger by the name of DugBuzz claims to have played a new version of Lair at GDC 2008, which featured the ability to control the dragon with the analog sticks. I was willing to chalk this one up as inevitable, but the lack of an official confirmation from Factor 5 seems odd - especially given what it would do for sales.

The annoying thing about rumors is that no matter how speculative they sound, they always manage to pique your interest. According to a gamer’s friend’s uncle who was at SCEJ (see what I mean?) there may be a gesture-recognition system built into Sony’s upcoming XMB.
Wading through this semi-literate post on JoystickRadio, I was able to ascertain that through using the Playstation Eye, the XMB will allow you to browse through your friends list, music, movies and games using some hand movements.

It appears nothing gets past the hawkeyed game-fan, and as evidence I cite the recent Deus Ex 3 teaser. The trailer contained about 1 second of visual information revealing anything about the game, but that one second was enough to generate a rumble of speculation from PC Zone Magazine’s editor. It appears that two versions of the official trailer were released, with the second one edited to remove the conspicuous year “2027″ from sight. The date bears heavy significance, as it could be evidence that the game is set some 20-odd years before the original Deus Ex, making it a prequel.

Circulating rumors and screenshots point to the possibility of an IPTV service making its way to the Xbox 360 in the near future. A reader of Xbox 360 Fanboy noticed a new icon on his Xbox 360 Dashboard, after the console was returned from repair. When hovered over, the description of the icon reads:
Use television services.
• Live & recorded TV
• On-demand movies
• Chat while watching TV
When clicked an error message comes up referring the user to www.microsoft.com/tv - and while we’re still labeling this one as a rumor, it sure looks to us like the only question we need answered is “When?”
