Rockstar Table Tennis

Rockstar has released Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis for the Wii. The game first released for the Xbox 360 seems such a perfect fit for the Wii it’s surprising it wasn’t released sooner. GamePro Magazine said:

“There is so much depth and skill involved in Table Tennis on the Wii that this version stands up to any tennis game out on any system, period.”

It’s times like these that Wii owners will thank Nintendo for their attention to the flying Wiimote problem. The game is in stores now for a low $39.99.

Rockstar Games have announced the release of Rockstar Table Tennis for the Wii this autumn. Rockstar Leeds will handle the translation, with help from Rockstar San Diego. Rockstar founder Sam Houser had the following to say during a recent interview with CVG.

Ever since we released Table Tennis, fans have been asking us to create a Wii version, […] By bringing Table Tennis to the Wii and utilizing the motion-sensitive Wii Remote, a new audience can now experience a game that is beautifully designed and impossible to put down.

I predict Table Tennis will make the jump to motion controls beautifully, and become infinitely more accessible (and fun) than the original - much like Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition.
