This weeks injection of Rock Band downloadable content consists of three tracks each from the unlikely combination of Jimmy Buffet and Disturbed. Standard prices for Jimmy, but The Disturbed tracks are available for $0.99 (80 Microsoft Points) thanks to a Best Buy promotion for their new album, Indestructible. Click through for the track names, and YouTube links for the curiously unfamiliar.

In the UK, France and Germany, Rock Band is available now - but only for the Xbox 360. Other versions will arrive later “this Summer”. There is still no news for the rest of Europe, nor Australia.
Seems crazy, with copycat Guitar Hero World Tour preparing for a pre-Christmas launch. Of course, I still think PS3 owners should import Rock Band if they’re sick of waiting. I paid a lot less than £180 / EUR 240 - and that was with super-expensive 7-day International shipping from the US to Australia.

Those of our readers who are outside the US and still eagerly awaiting Rock Band may have heard the ugly rumor that PlayStation 3 owners outside the US wouldn’t be getting their fix until September. As an Australian who has been playing the game since 2007, I ask you this - what exactly are you waiting for?

Luke over at Kotaku has won my heart with his list of songs that should be in Rock Band, but aren’t. Clutch, Mastodon, Slayer and Kyuss would all make my day…and Refused - “New Noise”? That’d make my millenia.

Harmonix has announced the long-awaited individual Rock Band peripherals will start shipping in February, starting with the release of the US$80 drum controller on February 12. The wireless guitar will cost US$60 and will be released later on April 1.
It has me stumped why Harmonix didn’t prioritize the release of the PlayStation 3 wireless guitar above all else - four months is a long time to wait for a bass player.
