One of the big E3 games that have gotten some more information was Metal Gear Solid. Although it’s not Metal Gear Solid 5, Peace Walker is set for the PSP. The game itself takes place in the 1970s which is ten years after MGS3. I will admit that graphically it’s not PS3 caliber, but I can imagine this game being so big that it would also make it to the PS2.
Here are some images from the E3 Trailer.

We’re going to take a look at the list of top video game sales from Amazon. This list doesn’t count the systems, accessories, or downloadables. I always found it weird that Amazon had a section of “Top Video Games” and they count accessories and the like. I’ve compiled the top 25 games so you don’t have to. There’s some analysis after the jump.

Looks as though PlayStation 3 owners will actually get an early taste of the PlayStation 3 exclusive FPS from Ubisoft, Haze. The demo, set to hit the PlayStation Network in early May, will feature a small sample of the single-player campaign as well as online, four-player co-op gameplay. Can anyone give us a WOOT? And just to tease you further, click inside for a new screenshot yanked straight from the demo!

It seems that Hudson will face stiff competition for their upcoming iPhone games, as we will soon be able to play old Playstation games on it. The emulator named psx4iphone, is currently in pre-beta stages. ZodTTD, the programmer responsible for the program, says that the software could be out within days if enough people donate. ZodTTD had promised that the program will have full sound and memory card support, and will run 75% of the games released. In lieu of the iPhone’s lack of buttons, psx4iphone will use areas of the touch screen to correspond to the relevant buttons.

Watch and learn people. Here’s how you turn “coming dead last” into something that resembles a success of sorts. In November’s NPD figures, all three of Sony’s platforms occupied the bottom three rungs of the hardware ladder. But Sony refused to acknowledge any sort of failure, issuing a statement saying that combined PlayStation sales were up 160% from October, that the PS3 saw a 285% spike in sales over the previous month and that their total software revenue for the month was up 128%. Also highlighted was the fact three PS3 games made the month’s top 10 in sales.
We could also do some simple addition for you and tell you how the DS alone outsold all three of Sony’s platforms, but hey, we wouldn’t want to show up Sony’s fine PR work.
Read on for the official NPD figures for November

These Playstation-branded Air Force 1 shoes are sure to catch the eye of many fashion-challenged Sony fanboys. They can be yours…provided you can beat the current bid of US$1,025. The high price is a result of these shoes never making it to the public, only 150 made and only being given to Sony execs and celebrities.

Want to make your PlayStation games look like they were made in the Dreamcast-era? Racketboy have posted a quick tutorial on configuring the free ePSXe PlayStation emulator for optimal results with Pete’s OpenGL 2.0 plugin. If only Sony would implement a similar technique for PlayStation emulation on the PS3.
