A demo for Clive Barker’s Jericho will be released this Thursday, and in a rare, but much appreciated move, Codemasters have managed to organize a simultaneous release for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC users.
Unless you’re a PlayStation 3 user in Europe, that is - in which case you’ll be waiting until next week…or setting yourself up a US-based PlayStation Network account.

PlayStation 3 owners are most likely aware by now that Sony’s multiplayer-only game Warhawk has been released onto the PlayStation Network. However, anyone who was looking to offset the massive US$40 price of the game by sharing it with their friends should take note, as unlike every PSN title to date, Warhawk cannot be shared with other consoles.

An update over at PlayStation.Blog offers up a rare look inside the server room of a PlayStation Network title…although something tells me if I was a game developer with this much hardware to play with, I’d want to post pics on the interweb too.
There’s also a couple of tasty details on Warhawk - first up is a global server list with easy identification of the official dedicated servers, which will be refreshing for any console gamers who have experienced the ease of finding a server for PC games. For those who prefer their multiplayer experience in the living room with three friends and a case of beer, Warhawk will support four-player split-screen - even on a console hosting an online game.

There’s plenty of new content, but only one game - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Deviating from the usual PSone pricing, it’ll set you back US$9.99 - a bit rough considering it the high-definition updates from the similarly priced Xbox Live Arcade version are nowhere to be seen here. It will, however, run on your PSP. Up to you, sunshine.
There’s also E3 trailers for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Ratchet and Clank: Future and inFAMOUS, along with a Heavenly Sword making-of video - all in high-def of course. Gamers in Europe (or anyone who creates a UK account on their PS3) can now download a demo for The Darkness - which I can already tell you is well worth a rental at the very least.

SCEA(ustralia) have announced a deal with Sony BMG, which will see ten music videos from the label released onto the PlayStation Store for free download. No details yet regarding what tracks will be available, but they’re scheduled to hit on July 20 - so it’s not going to be a particularly painful wait. We’re awfully surprised to see Australians get first crack at any new functionality for a game console, and recommend our Aussie readers enjoy the feeling of exclusivity while it lasts - these moments are as rare as Hen’s teeth.

The Heavenly Sword demo is finished, according to the lead developer at Ninja Theory, Mike Ball.
Well, let me just tell you all that the dev team has finished work on the demo.. that’s it… it’s in the bag… so now it’s a case of Sony deciding when they feel is the best time to release it to PlayStation Network.
Given the barren state of the Playstation Store, I’m sure a majority of owners feel that the best time for Sony to release the demo is right now. What ever happened to the full-on assault on Xbox Live they mentioned last January?
