We’re going to take a look at the list of top video game sales from Amazon. This list doesn’t count the systems, accessories, or downloadables. I always found it weird that Amazon had a section of “Top Video Games” and they count accessories and the like. I’ve compiled the top 25 games so you don’t have to. There’s some analysis after the jump.
1.Wii Fit
- Wii
2.Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel
- Wii
3.Pokemon Platinum
- DS
4.Wii Sports Resort
(Pre-Order) - Wii
5.Wii Play with Wii Remote
- Wii
6.My Fitness Coach
- Wii
7.Professor Layton and the Curious Village
- DS
8.Killzone 2
- PS3
9.Mario Kart DS
- DS
10.Shaun White Snowboarding

Firmware 2.40 is now live on the PlayStation Network, adding the long-awaited in-game XMB access, a Trophy system, and gives developers everything they need to support custom soundtracks.
Trophies are an unashamed carbon copy of the Xbox 360 Achievement system, the first of many steps Sony will have to make in order to catch up with Microsoft’s dominant online service.

Amazon has opened pre-orders for the Blu-ray Collector’s Edition of Iron Man, and knocked the price down to $28. Unfortunately, they also put a Region 1 code on the disc, so those of you outside the US/Canada will have to wait.
Consider me shattered this is disc is region-locked - I’m not sure how things fare in Europe, but most studios take way too long to bring their Blu-ray releases to Australia. Cloverfield and Resevoir Dogs are both still over six weeks away, with their region-locked US counterparts having been available for a good while. Do they want my money or not?

They’re here! Mana Knight has found PlayStation Network Cards in the US at Meijer - who are the only people currently selling the cards, according to a manager at the PlayStation Network Hotline. So those of you in the Meijer-inhabited states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio are in luck - the rest of you will have to keep looking.

Ahh, the end of the financial year. Retailers discount heavily, and we try not to spend our tax returns in advance on shit we probably don’t need. JB Hi-Fi are consistantly one of the cheapest game retailers in Australia, but there’s some particularly good deals available for the coming weeks - with most new releases available for under $80, and the brilliant Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune for just $40. And I was impressed when Amazon took 33% off earlier in the week…

Famitsu has broken the news that Street Fighter IV won’t just be an arcade game - with ports under development for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. No dates have been announced, but you’re probably immune to waiting by now thanks to the still-dateless Street Fighter HD Remix.
