PS3 sales jump 135 percent since price drop

GamesIndustry.biz is reporting PS3 sales have risen 135% since the price drop on July 9, which saw the 60GB model cut to US$499. It’s not rocket science, by any means - Microsoft release their under-whelming 360 Elite at a hefty price tag, Sony drops the price of the 60GB PS3 to a newly-justifiable $499, and countless developers at E3 show the public that there’s some decent games (that aren’t MotorStorm and Resistance) just around the corner.
