My Grand Theft Auto IV comedown just got a lot easier thanks to a relief package from Ubisoft that turned up today, containing Haze and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Look for reviews in the coming weeks.
So with me sorted for the weekend, what are you playing?
Ubisoft today announced the release date for Free Radical’s PlayStation 3 shooter, Haze - May 22, 2008. In the mean time, why not check out the demo currently available on the PlayStation Store, which supports four-player co-operative, or our gallery of Haze screenshots.
Ubisoft and EMI today announced that Korn’s new song “Haze”, inspired by the upcoming game of the same name, is now available from online music retailers. The song is also available on the enhanced CD version of Korn’s untitled album, now available in Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Looks as though PlayStation 3 owners will actually get an early taste of the PlayStation 3 exclusive FPS from Ubisoft, Haze. The demo, set to hit the PlayStation Network in early May, will feature a small sample of the single-player campaign as well as online, four-player co-op gameplay. Can anyone give us a WOOT? And just to tease you further, click inside for a new screenshot yanked straight from the demo!
Ubisoft has pushed back the release date of Free Radical’s PlayStation 3 shooter, Haze…again. Details were found in a financial report recently issued by Ubisoft, and the game will now hit some time during Ubisoft’s 2008 fiscal year, between April 1, 2008 and March 31, 2009.
Gamer.tv were recently invited to the office of Haze developers, Free Radical for an in-depth look at the game and a solid dose of English humour. If you’ve been wondering whether Haze could be a much-needed system-seller for the PlayStation 3, check out this 20 minute video chock full of gameplay footage.
PS3 owners will be saddened to hear that the PS3 exclusive, Haze by Free Radical Design will no longer be making its way into their stockings this year. The games release date has instead changed to the 1st quarter of 2008.
Just think of it as giving you more time to play all the other awesome games coming out these holidays.
Ubisoft today confirmed the December 14 release date for Haze in Europe. North America gets their taste earlier with the PS3 version arriving on November 23, and the Xbox 360 and PC versions coming a week later on November 30.

Ubisoft today announced a strange collaboration with heavy rock/metal band Korn. Korn have recorded an original song for the upcoming Haze, apparently inspired by the game - though I imagine a lump of cash helped get those creative juices flowing a little more than the game did. The song titled “Haze” will hit the radio in November, coinciding with the launch of the game, and will be available for download from online music stores.
Apparently, Korn’s singer Jonathan Davis loves video games:
Gaming for me is a religion and Haze is the sh*t! […] I had to come up with a track that can hit up that kind of rush I get from the game and I think we really rocked it!!
Hopefully the next time Ubisoft get a band to make them a tune for a video game, they can find someone who has released some decent material since…oh, the turn of the century?
