A 50% boost in processing power is certainly nothing to gawk at, but what exactly do you get at 333Mhz that you don’t get with 222? As God of War: Chains of Olympus creators explain, once they were given access to the PSP’s full processing capabilities, they were able to add better lighting, more particles, and a few minor extras to an already visually captivating game.
While not really a surprise given its success as a franchise, Sony have announced that God of War III is in development. The announcement came with the news that Cory Barlog, the director of the series would be leaving Sony. Sony was quick to point out that things would be okay, with a spokesperson saying:
“We are confident in the God of War team, as they are an extremely talented group of people that are passionate about the franchise and dedicated to creating even more epic content with God of War: Chains of Olympus for the PSP and God of War III for PS3.”
I can only imagine how amazing this game will look on the PS3 if all goes to plan.
Ready at Dawn Studios have just released a brutal unedited trailer for God of War: Chains of Olympus. As can be seen from this boss battle, the action is smooth, flowing and frantic. However what really warms my heart is the functional use of crates - and you can’t get more functional than the ending of this video. At the mere mention of this game it was a must have title for PSP owners, but now it looks to be a good reason for buying a PSP.
