PlayStation.blog brings news of this cute Clank figure. Unfortunately, in order to get one, you’ll need to pre-order Secret Agent Clank at a GameStop, or stoop to checking eBay and paying for one if you’re outside the US.
GameStop has revealed the price and ship date for Activision’s answer to Rock Band, Guitar Hero World Tour. $189.99 gets you the “Band Kit” with drums, guitar and microphone, and the “Guitar Kit” gets you just the guitar for $99.99. Standalone versions are $59.99 for the PS3/Xbox 360 and $49.99 for the PS2/Wii.
Looks like those of us who already have two Guitar Hero guitars and just want the drums will have to kick up a stink in order to get the drums separately.
The release date is currently listed as 27 October, 2008.
If you have Rock Band but don’t feel like you are getting the full rock star experience, then maybe you need to check out the Rock Band Stage Kit by Performance Design Products. According to the box the kit housed within is an “interactive light and smoke stage show”. I’m pretty sure no one will disagree with me when I say that no good can come from this. For US$99 you can pre-order the kit right now from Gamestop or wait until it is released on June 26.
Big name in the game retail industry, GameStop have announce the opening of their first “Tournament Store”. The store will operate like a normal store but hold big tournaments on weekends. 24 networked gaming stations litter the store equipped with plasma screens. The first function will be a Madden NFL 08 tournament in which the winning player will take home a $1000 GameStop giftcard.
Hopefully this gets the attention it deserves and maybe even raises the West’s awareness of professional gaming.
Touchstone and Propaganda games are offering a special pre-order demo disc of Turok for those who pre-order the game at Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart.com and Game Crazy. The demo is out a whole 2 months before the final game is released on February 5th. Sorry PS3 owners - the demo is only on the 360 at the present time.
The gaming world has gone Ghostbusters crazy with new news coming in every day. Gamestop are eager to capitalize on the excitement by offering pre-orders and free overnight shipping, even though the game is still a year away from release.
In much more exciting news we have possibly the biggest tease of a teaser trailer we have ever seen at the top of the post. Best of all, Attack of the Show have exclusive footage of the game that can be been on G4TV here.
GameStop are selling all remaining stock of the recently-discontinued 20GB PlayStation 3 for a measly $450. Sure, there’s no wireless, no card readers, and it’s the lowest capacity HDD of the PS3 range, but if the $50 difference makes all the difference for you, I recommend you jump on this one quick smart - you’re likely not the only one in the same boat. This deal also includes 5 free Blu-ray movies - more details after the jump.
