Nintendo to re-release GameCube controller in Japan

The new GameCube controller in Wii-style white.

Nintendo is set to reissue the GameCube controller in Japan this month. This time around, it features a 3-meter cord, will only be available in Wii-style white, and will cost 2,000 yen (approximately US$20).

If only Sony treated PlayStation owners so nicely with the DualShock 3.

AT-AT Gamecube mod for sale

Pictures of the AT-AT Gamecube modification has been floating around the internet for a few years, however the creator has recently decided to sell his handy work on eBay. Unfortunately, the auction has been pulled from eBay twice for an unknown reason, so you’ll have to keep your ear to the ground if you want a chance of owning it.

Quake ported to GameCube

As if all the QuakeCon news wasn’t enough for you. Peter Mackay, the man responsible for porting Quake to the PSP, has now ported Quake to the GameCube.

If you have the pre-requisite hardware for running homebrew code on your GameCube, you probably won’t need any encouragement to check this out.
