PlayStation 3 owners in Europe will no doubt be a little busier come November 9, thanks to the release of seven new games for the console. While it’s merely playing catch-up with the US and Japan, it’s likely not going to bother anyone, with at least one of the following games likely to distract them from the unfortunate truth:
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
- Dynasty Warriors: Gundam
- Lair
- Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
- Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
- The Simpsons
- WWE Smackdown! vs RAW 2008
I will just say those of you who have been turned away from Lair by low review scores should rent the game at the very least - subscribe to our RSS feed and look for our full review arriving shortly.

Nintendo has announced a release date for the Wii Zapper in Europe. The Zapper will be available on December 7 for an estimated £20 / €30 - which may not sound terribly much for a game and accessory, but works out to over twice the price gamers will be paying in North America.
Bummed Europeans can take solace in the fact they’re not alone - Aussies have to wait another six days, and pay an even greater premium.

Unlike our friends from the US, PAL PlayStation 3 owners have just had a significant amount of content added to the PlayStation Store - although you’ll need a PlayStation Eye to enjoy a lot of it.
We’re still waiting for Everyday Shooter, but hey - at least we can scratch the Ratchet and Clank demo off the list of things we’re sick of waiting for.
Full list after the jump.

A new Xbox 360/Halo 3 bundle has been let out of the bag in Europe. The bundle is available in Spain, Germany, Portugal, Austria, the Netherlands and South Africa. It’s possibly available in more countries, but Microsoft Europe is being coy and not returning anyone’s calls. What is known is that its not available in Australia, and there are no plans for it to be. The bundle includes an HDMI-equipped Xbox 360, 20GB HDD, Play & Charge kit, wireless controller and a copy of Halo 3 - and is currently selling for €387.95.

Nintendo must be feeling bad about screwing their loyal European and Australian fan base for so long. What gives me that idea, you ask? They’ve just announced that a heap of previously Japan-only titles will be released on the Wii Virtual Console in PAL territories throughout September - with no such announcement made so far for the US.

After an agonizing wait, Wii owners across Europe will finally get their hands on Super Paper Mario on September 14th. While localization issues might be an appropriate excuse for Europe’s belated release, we’re unsure as to why Australians are still left playing the waiting game.

Eurogamer is reporting that European retailers HMV, Play and GAME have all agreed on a GBP 329.99 price for the Xbox 360 Elite package. Microsoft is saying nothing, but have recently mentioned the price difference between models for Europe will match that of the US - Eurogamer has already done the maths, and it’s damn close.
