Taking a look around online, I found some good products on Amazon this week for each of the systems.
PS2:
Katamari Damacy - $9.97 - I love Katamari Damacy and although there have been later games, the whole concept is still the same. I don’t really think there was too much evolution in the game, but the original was the groundbreaker.
Wii:
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
- $22.50 - Now this is a game that’s just fun. If you’re in need for a good party game, look no further.
PS3:
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
- $39.99 - I got this game back when they had the PS3 bundle and I played it all the way through. The game was riveting and although I’m not huge on action/adventure games MGS4 was captivating.
Xbox360:
Assassin’s Creed
- $23.99 - I know a sequel has come out, but if you haven’t gotten into the game definitely take a look. It didn’t hit the Platinum/Greatest hits status for nothing.
DS:
Kirby Super Star Ultra
- $26.99 - I know that the price change isn’t much, but if I had to pick a definite 2-D Kirby game, this one is it. The Super Nintendo version was a classic and the little touches added to the DS version fills out the game. Some people may think that the game is a little short, but the mini-games keeps this one fresh.

If you haven’t been blessed with a mailbox full of advertising this week, you might’ve missed the fact that Kmart is selling Xbox 360 Pro for the best price Australia has ever seen: $449. There are rumours of the Xbox 360 Elite dropping to $499 after E3, so it’s up to you whether you want to jump on this one or hold out for a bigger hard disk.

Ahh, the end of the financial year. Retailers discount heavily, and we try not to spend our tax returns in advance on shit we probably don’t need. JB Hi-Fi are consistantly one of the cheapest game retailers in Australia, but there’s some particularly good deals available for the coming weeks - with most new releases available for under $80, and the brilliant Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune for just $40. And I was impressed when Amazon took 33% off earlier in the week…
Click through for more bargains.

Bill over at Aeropause recently found a copy of Lair, the critically panned PlayStation 3 exclusive from Factor 5, in a bargain bin for $15. If you read my Lair review, you’d know I liked the game a lot more than the average reviewer…and now that there’s a patch available that allows you to select analog flight controls, the main cause of those low review scores is eliminated - making this a steal for $15. Unfortunately Bill neglected to mention which store he found it in, so you’ll have to keep an eye out.

Canadians who spend CAN$59.99 on a DualShock 3 at any participating Best Buy store will be given a free copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, valued at CAN$39.99. That’s a pretty good deal for those of you who were hesitant to either pay for a demo, or replace a perfectly functional Sixaxis.
