What is it with blue video game characters and horrible, horrible cosplay?

Chris Chike, better known to thousands of you as YouTube user iamchris4life, has achieved the ultimate Guitar Hero III accolade - a “full combo” of Dragonforce’s “Through the Fire and Flames” on Expert.

Bad car analogies? John Mayer loves them. After being asked how he feels about “the whole Guitar Hero-game phenomenon” in a recent interview, he responded:
I don’t ever want to be the kind of guy who rails against whatever progress has taken place. But Guitar Hero was devised to bring the guitar-playing experience to the masses without them having to put anything into it. And having done both, there’s nothing like really playing guitar. I mean, what would you rather drive, a Ferrari or one of those amusement-park cars on a track?
I take it you laugh to yourself when you see kids with training wheels on their bike too, John?

I’ve seen plenty of video game cakes in my time - but they pale in comparison to this amazingly detailed piece of 100% edible art. I think I’d feel guilty eating a piece. Click through for close-ups.

TriForce has announced the acquisition of a license to produce full-scale replicas of the weaponry and armor found in Gears of War. First to be released are the COG armor, COG helmet and the awesome, chainsaw-equipped Lancer Assault Rifle - which will be available for pre-order on July 8, 2008. Obligatory Suicide Girls photo shoot sure to arrive shortly after.
Ubisoft and EMI today announced that Korn’s new song “Haze”, inspired by the upcoming game of the same name, is now available from online music retailers. The song is also available on the enhanced CD version of Korn’s untitled album, now available in Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
