Writers strike halts Castlevania film

The writers strike has taken it’s first game movie casualty - the movie adaptation of Castlevania. Given that Castlevania is being directed by the same person that did Stomp the Yard, maybe this whole writers strike thing isn’t so bad after all.

PlayStation Store updated - Castlevania: SOTN

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

There’s plenty of new content, but only one game - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Deviating from the usual PSone pricing, it’ll set you back US$9.99 - a bit rough considering it the high-definition updates from the similarly priced Xbox Live Arcade version are nowhere to be seen here. It will, however, run on your PSP. Up to you, sunshine.

There’s also E3 trailers for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Ratchet and Clank: Future and inFAMOUS, along with a Heavenly Sword making-of video - all in high-def of course. Gamers in Europe (or anyone who creates a UK account on their PS3) can now download a demo for The Darkness - which I can already tell you is well worth a rental at the very least.
