When Megaman cosplay goes horribly wrong

What is it with blue video game characters and horrible, horrible cosplay?

A beta for the ridiculously-named Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is scheduled to start on June 25. Only Ken and Ryu will be playable on one stage, with the test running for eight weeks. Capcom says testers will be able to submit bug reports and suggestions.
Remember that Resident Evil 5 trailer we talked about earlier in the week? It’s here - and it’s bloody gorgeous.

With Capcom’s CAPTIVATE08 media event about to kick off, it’s not long until you get to see the new trailer for Resident Evil 5 - but that’s not going to stop us from adding three 720p screenshots to our Resident Evil 5 gallery.

We’ve just added a gallery of Street Fighter IV screenshots, thanks to Capcom’s lovely press site. There’s 150 of them, so that should keep you busy for at least another ten minutes.

Ever wanted to know how many copies of Street Fighter II have been sold over the years? Capcom has released lifetime sales figures for its best sellers and biggest franchises…and it makes me wonder what happened to their Disney license? It’s a damn shame they didn’t get to make the Pirates of the Caribbean games.

The first Devil May Cry was one of the standout titles in the action genre last generation, and while the inevitable sequels moved millions of units, they failed to better the original - and by the third game, Capcom had increased the difficulty to a level that turned away all but the most hardcore. Devil May Cry 4 shows a decided effort to cater for a wider audience - it’s the first game of the series to grace Microsoft hardware, and newcomers can select the Human difficulty level and a new Automatic mode to turn their button mashing into elaborate and deadly combos.

Capcom has announced a release date for the long-awaited Devil May Cry 4 demo - Thursday, January 24, 2008. The demo will arrive at 2am PST on Xbox Live and between 2 and 3pm PST on the PlayStation Store.

This new clip from Capcom explains Bionic Commando’s swinging action. If you were thinking it would simply be an automatic lock-on system like the Spider-Man games then think again – Bionic Commando is going to require some skill. I’m sure the game will get intuitive once you get the hang of it, but it’s possible the beginning difficulty will deter a few gamers.

We guess Capcom were sick of Hollywood dicking up their franchise - as they’ve decided to go with what they know best - and commence work on a CGI Resident Evil movie. Hopefully this movie doesn’t prove our suspicions that Milla Jovovich is the best thing about any Resident Evil movie - because she won’t be in this one.
