Canadians who spend CAN$59.99 on a DualShock 3 at any participating Best Buy store will be given a free copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, valued at CAN$39.99. That’s a pretty good deal for those of you who were hesitant to either pay for a demo, or replace a perfectly functional Sixaxis.

Touchstone and Propaganda games are offering a special pre-order demo disc of Turok for those who pre-order the game at Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart.com and Game Crazy. The demo is out a whole 2 months before the final game is released on February 5th. Sorry PS3 owners - the demo is only on the 360 at the present time.

A word of warning to all those who are planning on buying a Guitar Hero III bundle - check the box first. It has been brought to our attention that Wal-Mart and Target are offering different versions of the bundle, some with the newer wireless guitars, and some with the older Guitar Hero II wired guitars.
You’ll save $10 on a wired bundle, but you’ll kick yourself once you lay hands on the far superior newer models - trust us, they’re worth waiting/driving long distances for.

This Sunday brought deals a plenty from Best Buy with the biggest being a free bundling of Heroes Season 1 on HD DVD with the purchase of a HD DVD drive for the 360. The HD box-set normally retails for $99 and with the HD DVD drive selling at $179.99 you are getting an amazingly good deal. Other deals include a free comic with a purchase of Conan, a wrasslin’demo when you pre-order Smackdown vs Raw 2008 and a free bonus disc with pictures, trailers and songs when you pre-order Mass Effect.
While the other retailers didn’t have much to offer, rumor has it that next week Circuit City will be offering a free guitar stand with Guitar Hero III and a free Homer ball with The Simpsons Game.

The four-player co-operative mode of Halo 3 means I’ll be grabbing at least another two controllers for my Xbox 360 - and it seems Best Buy are all too aware that I’m not the only one out there planning a similar spend on peripherals.
Prices on most Xbox 360 peripherals at Best Buy have been bumped to USD $3 above the MSRP, meaning you might want to grab your copy of Halo 3 from another retailer on September 25.
