Atlus strikes again: Izuna 2 hitting DS this July
April 17th, 2008Atlus USA, famous for publishing obscure Japanese games that probably only appeal to tiny niche markets, recently updated their homepage to include Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns, sequel to last year’s roguelike Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja.
Atlus always shines, in my eyes. They’ve brought some great titles into my native tongue that I probably would have never gotten my hands on otherwise, and they’ll always have my respect for that. And you’ve got to give them a tip of the hat on this one: modern roguelikes are hard enough to market, and this videogame is the sequel to a Japanese roguelike that stars a very pink female ninja. Good show, Atlus. I’m sure you’ve made, like, a dozen people very happy.
