Operation Creature Feature (PlayStation Eye) Review

The description of Operation Creature Feature on the PlayStation Store might lead you to believe the game is similar to Lemmings, and I’m guessing that fact alone has led to a stack of instant impulse buys. Those of you who are still on the fence should hit the jump for our review.
In a very vague sense, there is a similarity between Creature Feature and Lemmings. There are creatures, and you have to get them from one place to another. Unfortunately, that’s where the similarities end.
The creatures are called Blurbs, which is completely irrelevant, and they’re attracted to movement - wave your hand near them and they’ll start to float around it. You’ll need to keep moving to keep them interested, and guide them around the environment to the end of the level.
The thing is, the levels start out painfully simple, and by the time you get to one that is vaguely interesting, you’ll probably have tired of the one mechanic that drives the game.
It sure does look pretty - but it’s not going to hold your interest for any more than five minutes, although if you’ve got small children, they’ll more than likely get a lot more milage out of it.
Operation Creature Feature is currently available in the PlayStation Store for the UK (£3.49), Australia (AUD$8.45), and Europe (€4,99).
