The Metal Gear Online Premiere Beta is officially open for business in the UK, Europe and Australia - although we wish you luck getting in for a game.

Today marked the first time I was able to successfully create a Konami ID, after countless unsuccessful attempts over the last four days.

Wrongly assuming that a newly fixed signup process might lead to a working beta, I hit “Start Game” and was presented with the error “Unable to connect to server.(090F:FFFFFF60)”.

According to MGS4.net there’s many others in the same boat - experiencing a range of error messages:

• Unable to connect to server.(090F:FFFFFF60)
• Disconnected from the network. Exiting the game.(2007:FFFFFF9D)
• Someone has already logged in using this GAME ID. Unable to login to server.
• The GAME ID or password is incorrect. Unable to login to server.(0911:00000003)

Patience, as they say, is a virtue.
