CDProjekt Relases v1.3 Patch, Price of Neutrality adventure and D’jinni Adventure Editor for The Witcher
Today CDProjekt released a few goodies for its uber-popular RPG for the PC, The Witcher. Today’s sacrificial offerings include a new downloadable adventure called “Price of Neutrality” along with the English version of the D’jinni beta adventure editor. The new adventure is but a sample according to the company, offering an addtional two hours of gameplay, taking players into the outskirts of Kaer Morhen. The editor, on the other hand, allows players to create new adventures using the pre-existing graphical assets, maps and environments.
Most importantly is the just-released v1.3 patch (notes) that will allow gamers to play user editable modules. The patch will also modify the main menu, adding an option to play new modules. While the patch fixes a few gameplay, text and code bugs, this update might cause problems with saved games from previous versions (1.0, 1.1a, 1.2). CDProjekt advises players to restart the game after the v1.3 patch is installed. Nice, eh? Sounds like you should install at your own risk, as the patch “may lead to unexpected behavior and other problems.” Meh.
