Comparing two video game companies using Twitter

Twitter has become quite an interesting Tour de Force website. One would think that only having 140 characters would hinder people, but somehow everyone is doing it. Not to be kept out of the social media loop two companies have hopped on the bandwagon. One definitely understands the medium, the other seems to have joined but hasn’t implemented much.

+ Hudson Entertainment – The home of Bomberman and New Adventure Island has a cute picture of a happy Bomberman as their avatar. I’m a little shocked that the Bee isn’t their avatar. Even their background shows some classic artwork that just screams Hudson. Most of their posts are interesting insights on the video game process. Hudson actually follows a few people and responds.

- Sucker Punch – The home of Sly Cooper seems to be taking the obvious root. Their avatar is their logo, and there is no background. They haven’t followed anyone, so all their posts are straightforward. Sucker Punch is like that one friend on Facebook that actually states what they are doing, not the one that posts silly pictures or makes wacky statements.

Both Twitter accounts are interesting, but seeing the interactivity between Hudson and the people they follow it would be a more interesting adventure following Hudson. Granted that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t friend Sucker Punch, it just means that Hudson would be more fun.
