Xbox 360 gets a $50 price break

To regain some footing in the current-gen wars, Microsoft appears to be cutting Xbox 360 prices in the US.

Cheap Ass Gamer have managed to get their hands on advertisements from Toys R Us and Walmart before their scheduled release date of August 12, that both confirm recent rumors of the $50 price drop.

Although still unconfirmed by Microsoft, the inevitable reduction will strategically coincide with the release of the highly anticipated titles of August.

EA’s Madden NFL 08, Irrational Games’ Bioshock, and Tiger Hills John Woo Presents: Stranglehold are likely to drive an increase in console sales.
