The Economist awards Miyamoto
Shigeru Miyamoto has been awarded with The Innovation Award for Consumer Goods by The Economist. At the award ceremony in the Science Museum, London they praised him by saying “He is the inventor of Nintendo and has been one of the key architects in the electronic gaming industry.” Business editor at The Economist, Tom Standage, had this to say about the man behind Nintendo:

“No one is more identified with modern video games than Shigeru Miyamoto. His pioneering vision and creativity truly created a new category of entertainment.”
