Parallel Processing Corporation have filed a lawsuit against Sony, claiming the Cell processor used in the PlayStation 3 infringes on a patent issued in 1991 for “Synchronized Parallel Processing with Shared Memory.”
The California-based company are claiming “irreparable harm and monetary damage” resulting from the infringement, and are seeking compensation in addition to the impounding and destruction of all Sony products that include a Cell processor.
