EverQuest movie in the works with big name writer and producer

The writer of the screen adaption of 300, Michael Gordon, has been put to work writing the screenplay for an EverQuest movie - a somewhat scary concept, given many consider the neanderthal script to be what dragged 300 down.

Avi Arad is producing the movie for Columbia Pictures. Avi’s latest production efforts include Spider-Man 3 and Ghost Rider.

Who’s up for another generic video game movie?
