What do Sony, Microsoft, Sega, Capcom, Midway and NCSoft have in common? None of them will be coming to the E for All Expo - IDG’s intended replacement for the older, consumer-oriented E3 - set to take place at the LA Convention Center on October 18-21.

So who is coming? Nintendo, EA, Konami, Namco, THQ, Intel and NVIDIA.

That might be a fairly unimpressive list, however there’s still no doubt that large numbers of gamers will attend in the hope of playing games like Super Mario Galaxy and Rock Band.

I just hope that some lesser known indie developers take the opportunity to strut their stuff in the halls while the big kids take a breather (both energetically and financially) after GC and PAX.
