GlucoBoy glucose monitor for the GBA and DS
The GlucoBoy is a glucose monitor that plugs into a GameBoy Advance or Nintendo DS, rewarding kids whenever they take a glucose test, and an extra bonus awarded when glucose levels within a target range. The idea was conceived by Paul Wessel, who noticed that his son always lost his glucose monitor - but never lost his GameBoy. It took him 3 years to get Nintendo’s approval which finally resulted in the launch on World Diabetes Day in Australia.
Currently the product is only available in Australia and retails for AU$299.
