Wii sells 3 million, DS 18 million in Japan
Famitsu has the latest figures illustrating Nintendo’s continued domination of the Japanese market. Since launching in December, over 3 million Wii consoles have been sold in Japan - that’s three times what Sony have managed with the PS3. If that wasn’t enough good news for the board at Nintendo, the DS has just cracked the 18 million mark - yet another milestone on the path to near-ubiquity in Japan.
