Head over to Gizmag to read my review of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer on the Xbox 360. It’s not without its faults, but it’s the new king of console multiplayer.

We’re going to take a look at the list of top video game sales from Amazon. This list doesn’t count the systems, accessories, or downloadables. I always found it weird that Amazon had a section of “Top Video Games” and they count accessories and the like. I’ve compiled the top 25 games so you don’t have to. There’s some analysis after the jump.
1.Wii Fit - Wii
2.Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel - Wii
3.Pokemon Platinum - DS
4.Wii Sports Resort (Pre-Order) - Wii
5.Wii Play with Wii Remote - Wii
6.My Fitness Coach - Wii
7.Professor Layton and the Curious Village - DS
8.Killzone 2 - PS3
9.Mario Kart DS - DS
10.Shaun White Snowboarding - Wii
Here’s a list of some of the better products that have emerged this week for the XBox Marketplace. There are several videos, themes, and the like also available, but these below are probably the better products that have emerged. Remember that most of these things are non-refundable.
Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack
Price: 800 Microsoft Points
Size: 328 MB
Description: The long-awaited Mythic Map Pack drops into Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Investigate Orbital’s abandoned hallways - before it was evacuated, the Quito Space Tether was heralded as the “Civil Engineering Monument of the Millennium.” Witness Assembly, where Scarab hulls loom overhead, being decontaminated in preparation for the city-sized Lekgolo colonies that will breathe life into the massive metal husks. An excavation site surrounded by deadly Forerunner defenses, the mysteries of Sandbox are hidden high above, deep below, and right before your eyes.

We told you a couple of weeks back about Title Update 3 for Gears of War 2, and we can now tell you that it’s set to drop on March 24. Check out the detailed release notes here.
There’s also a Snowblind Map Pack set for release on March 31 that includes three new maps (Grindyard, Under Hill and Courtyard) and an updated version of a fan favorite from the original Gears, Fuel Depot. No price has been announced, but we’re guessing it’s going to be 800 Microsoft points.

In my post How Epic broke Gears of War 2 multiplayer, I was quite vocal about the disappointing state of the multiplayer game compared to the polished and undeniably awesome campaign - and many of you agreed.
Thankfully, help is on the way with Title Update 3 (that’s Patch 3 for those of you who don’t speak Microsoft) which is in final testing and should be certified and released within four weeks.
Some interesting fixes and additions are as follows:
- Country preference added
- Players who quit will be replaced by bots

Given how close to perfect the final patch for Gears of War made the multiplayer game, many of us were expecting an even better experience for Gears of War 2. How wrong we were. A few weeks from release and we’re already one patch in to Gears of War 2, and while it made matchmaking a lot faster in most cases, Epic still has a long way to go to make this game the unforgettable beast it could be.

A source close to Blue Castle Games has told Eurogamer that the Canadian developers are currently working on Dead Rising 2.
“Everyone’s really excited; the team has obviously seen the rumours and it’s been hard to keep quiet, but they can’t wait to show off the game.”
Capcom Europe refused to comment on the rumor.

Adding weight to the rumors of a planned Xbox 360 price drop to coincide with E3, Microsoft have cut the price of all Xbox 360 models in Australia. The not-quite-entry-level, hard-drive-less Xbox 360 Arcade is now priced at AU$349, and the Elite at AU$649 - but most impressive is the massive drop on the Xbox 360 Pro - now $499.

A beta for the ridiculously-named Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is scheduled to start on June 25. Only Ken and Ryu will be playable on one stage, with the test running for eight weeks. Capcom says testers will be able to submit bug reports and suggestions.

Can’t be bothered setting up a Japanese Xbox Live account? You’re in luck. According to Major Nelson, the Ninja Gaiden 2 demo will arrive tomorrow at 2:00 AM PT, in all regions except Germany and India. That’s about eight and a half hours from now - which makes knocking off work tonight seem a lot more exciting.
