single word name classic rock bands

Time to let your hair out and start rocking hard because Activision have just released three new classic rock songs for Guitar Hero III download. The tracks on offer are Foreigner’s “Juke Box Hero,” Journey’s “Any Way You Want It” and Boston’s “Peace of Mind“. I’m sure it’s pretty safe to say that Any Way You Want It will be blaring from dorm rooms for some months. The Pack is going for the usual Xbox Live for 500 points, or US$6.25.

GTA IV dated, delay blamed on PS3

GTA IV dated, delay blamed on PS3

The hour is upon us… well not quite, but at least we know the date when the hour will be upon us. That’s right people: Grand Theft Auto IV had been dated to be released April 29th. The reason the game is taking so long is all thanks to the PS3, as Rockstar’s Jeronimo Barrera pointed out in an MTV interview:

“It’s really no surprise to anybody that the PS3 was definitely a contributing factor to [the delay].”

Thankfully now the progress on both systems are “neck and neck”, and the experience on 360 and PS3 has been quoted as “identical”.

Ceramic White PS3 coming to the US

Ceramic White PS3 get FCC approval

Good news for those in the US, the Ceramic White PS3 we reported on in October is making the jump across the Pacific. In fact it’s doubly good news, as the Ceramic White PS3 includes a DualShock 3, meaning that DualShock 3’s are likely to hit shelves at around the same time. So far we don’t have any dates, as all that tipped us off was FCC approval.

Rumor: PS3’s XMB may incorporate gesture recognition

Saturday, January 19th, 2008

rumor_gesture_recognition_xmb_ps3_playstation_eye.jpg

The annoying thing about rumors is that no matter how speculative they sound, they always manage to pique your interest. According to a gamer’s friend’s uncle who was at SCEJ (see what I mean?) there may be a gesture-recognition system built into Sony’s upcoming XMB.

Wading through this semi-literate post on JoystickRadio, I was able to ascertain that through using the Playstation Eye, the XMB will allow you to browse through your friends list, music, movies and games using some hand movements.
